Bio

Ryan Dooley joined the women’s basketball staff in 2022-23 season as an assistant after one season as a graduate assistant at McKendree (Ill.) University and playing two seasons at Culver-Stockton College and two seasons at Parkland College (NJCAA - Champaign, Illinois).
 
At Culver-Stockton College, Dooley earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in special education and child advocacy. She received Dean’s list honors twice, President’s list four times, and Summa Cum Laude during her studies at C-SC. In her career with the Wildcats, Dooley was tabbed for multiple conference and national awards over her 60 games career contests while helping C-SC to a conference title game appearance in 2018-19 and a national tournament appearance in 2019-20. Over 29 games in 2018-19, she collected an All-Heart 2nd Team honor behind 12 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game (sixth in conference), 81 percent at the free throw line, and 35.8 percent from beyond the arc. During the 2019-2020 season, Dooley started all 31 games enroute to an NAIA All-American Team Honorable Mention averaging 16 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 4.1 assists per game, and 2.4 steals per contest. The guard was named 2018-19 C-SC Newcomer of the Year, 2019-20 C-SC Female Athlete of the Year, and a 2019-20 NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete.
 
The guard began her collegiate career at NJCAA Parkland College, where she earned her associates degree and helped lead the Cobras to a national tournament appearance in 2016-17.  Dooley collected numerous honors in the 2017-18 season, including the NJCAA Region 24 Player of the Year, All-Region First Team, M-WAC All-Conference, and an NJCAA Second Team All-American. During the guard’s second season with Parkland, she averaged 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.4 steals per game on 44.5 percent shooting from the field, 39.8 from beyond the arc, and 78.4 from the charity stripe.
 
Dooley is a native of Assumption, Illinois, where she attended Central A&M High School (Moweaqua, Illinois) and played basketball. The guard was named to the AP and IBCA All-State team three times and led her team to the state title in 2015, a runner-up finish in 2016, and a fourth place finish in 2014.
