Saunders, Hummel Leads Women's Bowlers at Five Seasons Classic

Jasmine Saunders was named to the all-tournament team and Carlee Hummel finished in the top 10 as the Culver-Stockton women's bowling team placed fifth at the Five Seasons Classic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, over the weekend.

Saunders earned her second all-tournament nod of the early season with a fourth-place finish in the individual competition. Saunders rolled a high game of 248 en route to a 1,011 five-game total, or an average of 202.2 per game. Hummel finished eighth overall with a total pin count of 981, or an average of 196.2. She rolled a high gam of 206.

As a team, the Wildcats garnered 8,107 total pins over their five team games and 20 baker games. C-SC tallied 4,557 pins in the five team games, and 3,550 pins in the 20 baker games. Mount Mercy accumulated the top pin total of 8,817 to claim the top spot.

Bailey Orsette gave the Wildcats three players in the top 20 with a 17th place finish. Orsette rolled a high game of 248 and finished with a five-game average of 186.6 per game. Jessica Mock finished 42nd overall with an average of 167.4.

The Wildcats are back in action Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12-13, at the Leatherneck Classic in Moline, Ill.
