Young Named to First All-Tournament Team at Eagle Invitational

Culver-Stockton's Kassidy Young earned her first career all-tournament team award after a third-place finish at the Avila University Eagle Invitational in Belton, Mo., last weekend.

Overall, the Wildcats finished seventh in the 12-team field with 6,417 total pins after 16 baker games and five team games. C-SC garnered 2,489 pins, an average of 155, in 16 baker games Saturday before rebounding and totaling 3,928 pins, an average of 785.6 games, in five team games on Sunday. C-SC finished 1,009 pins behind tournament leading Baker University.

Young rolled a 943 series, an average of 188.6 pins per game, in her five games Sunday. Young was just 17 pins behind the second-place finisher, Breanne West of Columbia College.

Jasmine Saunders placed 16th overall and Allisyn Pohl placed 30th overall to complement Young's performance. Saunders averaged 172.6 pins per game while totaling 863 pins, while Pohl averaged 153.4 overall while recording 767 pins.

The Wildcats are scheduled to compete next at the Hoosier Classic Feb. 18-19 in Indianapolis, Ind. The event is slated to be played at the Western Bowl.
