Saunders Records Top 10 Finish at Hoosier Classic

The Culver-Stockton women's bowling team registered 7,978 total pins to finish 43rd in the 66-team Columbia 300/Hoosier Classic at the Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Ind., Saturday and Sunday.

The Wildcats recorded 5,367 pins in six team games Saturday, averaging 894.5 pins per game. C-SC recorded highs of 943 and 942 in the team games. 

On Sunday, the Wildcats garnered 2,611 total pins in 16 baker games, averaging 163.2 pins per game. C-SC rolled high baker games of 223 and 202.

Jasmine Saunders had a big weekend for the Wildcats individually, finishing in 10th place overall. Saunders averaged 212.8 overall, rolling 200 or more in five of the six games. She had games of 257, 241, 211, 210 and 206 after getting off to a slow start with a 157.

Alexie Little placed 86th overall with a total 1,163 total pins in six games, averaging 193.8 pins per game. Little rolled a high game of 254.

The Wildcats are scheduled to compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships next Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
