Women's Bowling Earns Second Straight Top Five Finish; Moore Named to All-Tournament Team

The Culver-Stockton women's bowling team finished fifth overall and qualified for bracket play at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge over the weekend in Lawrence, Kan.

The Wildcats garnered 6,934 total pins during team play and baker games to qualify for single-elimination play. In the tournament, C-SC lost the best of three round 2-1 to eventual champion and fourth-seeded Baker University. The Wildcats won the first baker game against Baker before falling in the next two games.

Rachel Moore earned her first all-tournament team with a fifth placed finish individually. Moore tallied 969 total pins in five games, averaging 193.8 pins per game. Moore rolled two games of 200 or more, registering 207 and 224 games.

Jersey Lessenger notched a top 20 finish, placing 16th overall with 902 total pins. Lessenger averaged 180.4 pins per game. She had a high game of 205. Katelin Valentine totaled 796 pins and finished 34th overall while Jasmine Saunders was 36th overall with 787 total pins and Andi Woods placed 45th overall with 732 total pins.

The Wildcats will take the month of November off before resuming their season at the Warhawk Open Dec. 7-8 in Addison, Ill.
