Women's Golfers Finish Fourth in Own Wildcat Classic

The Culver-Stockton College women's golf team hosted the Wildcat Fall Classic Sunday and Monday, Oct. 15-16, at Spring Lake Country Club in Quincy, Ill.

The Wildcats placed fourth overall among the seven teams in the field, finishing with a team score of 755. The Wildcats shot 380 Sunday before carding a 375 in the final round Monday. Columbia College won the event with a score of 674.

Individually, Emily Grodjesk was the top finisher for the Wildcats with a 35-over 179. Grodjesk recorded a 16-over 88 Monday and a 19-over 91 Saturday. Hannah Matrisch followed Grodjesk with a score of 38-over 182. Matrisch carded an 18-over 90 on Monday and -20-over 92 on Monday.

Kyndall Crim carded a 36-hole score of 51-over 195 (100-95) while Allie Hayden registered a 55-over 199 (102-97. Natalie Ames rounded outhe five some with a score of 68-over 212 (110-102).

Sara Gruenewald and Gabby Beffa also competed for the Wildcats and played as individuals. Greunewald carded an overall total of 216 (113-103), while Beffa recorded a 239 (110-129).

The Wildcats conclude the fall portion of their schedule next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 23-24, at the Sand Creek Station Invitational at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan.
