Saint Ambrose just kept going from there, leading 5-1 after one quarter, 11-2 at halftime and 16-3 at the end of three periods.

The Wildcats were outshot 37-25 overall with a 29-15 edge on shots on goal. The Bees picked up 24 ground balls to C-SC's 23, while the Wildcats forced 15 SAU turnovers in the game, including seven caused turnovers.

Melanie Sanchez netted three goals to lead the Wildcats in scoring. Sopheea Vomund added two goals, while McKayla Nevarez chipped with one goal. Courtni Hopper recorded the only assist of the night for C-SC.

The Wildcats finish the regular season at 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The Wildcats are scheduled to face top-seeded Benedictine College in the semifinals at a time to be determined Sunday.
