Caitlin Erickson was named the inaugural head coach of the newly developed women's lacrosse program on Nov. 16, 2018

Prior to coming to C-SC, Erickson spent time as the girl's program director at St. Louis LAX, which offered lacrosse leagues each summer, fall and winter season in the St. Louis area.

Erickson was previously the head coach of the women's lacrosse and field hockey teams at Lindenwood University in Belleville, Ill., from January of 2016 to June of 2018.

Erickson spent seven years at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., as both a field hockey player and coach. A Chicago native, Erickson played three years of field hockey and four years of softball at Antioch Community High School in Antioch, Ill., as well as a season with the Windy City Field Hockey Club, before migrating to St. Charles.

She then played four seasons as a goalkeeper, earning the starting spot her senior year, the team's most successful in history. In addition, she claimed Athlete of the Week honors and team MVP of the 2009 season.

Upon earning her Bachelor of Science degree in physical education in 2011, Erickson began her coaching career as a graduate assistant for the Lady Lions. She received her Master's in sport management in 2013.
