Frizzell, Defense Turns Benedictine Away in Scoreless Draw
Mackenzie Frizzell made eight saves as the Culver-Stockton College women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Benedictine College Saturday afternoon at Legacy Field in Atchison, Kan.
The Ravens continually pressured the Wildcat goal, holding a 22-5 advantage in shots for the game. However, Frizzell and the Wildcat defense were able to fight off the BC aggression. Frizzell made eight saves in the game, including six in the second half, to record the shutout.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats didn't show much of an offensive threat as Benedictine goalkeeper Mackenzie Korzenecki was called upon to make just two saves in the game, one in each half.
The Wildcats, now 5-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, is scheduled to play their final non-conference match Tuesday, Sept. 26, at William Woods University. Game time is set for 6 p.m. in Fulton, Mo.
