Women's Soccer Held to Three Shots in Home Loss to Clarke
The Culver-Stockton women's soccer team matched its season low in shots in a 6-1 loss to Clarke University Wednesday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.
The Wildcats, who also managed three shots in a 5-0 loss to nationally ranked Missouri Valley College last Saturday, notched their only goal of the game with the help of Clarke, which put it in its own net.
Savannah Stauffer sent a ball to the six-yard line and a Pride defender headed into her own goal to make the score 6-1 in the 84th minute. It was the Wildcats' only shot on goal.
C-SC was outshot 19-3 by the Pride, including 12-2 in the first half. Clarke led 2-0 at the intermission before adding four second half goals.
The Wildcats are back in action this Saturday, Oct. 5, at Park University in Parkville, Mo. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
