Younce Places 11th, Morris 16th at NAIA Indoor Championships

Culver-Stockton College junior Faith Younce and graduate student Allison Morris competed in the 3000-meter race walk at the 2024 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday morning at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D.

Younce registered a season best time of 17:00.59 to finish second in her heat and 11th overall among the 22 competitors. The time is the second-fastest time in school history and her 11th place finish is the highest finish at a national meet in her career.

Meanwhile, Morris placed 10th in her heat and 16th overall in a time of 17:40.24. Morris qualified for the national meet with a school record time of 16:28.76 at the Fighting Bee Invitational on Jan. 26, in Davenport, Iowa.

The women's team is slated to begin the 2024 outdoor season Saturday, March 16, at the Central Methodist Open in Fayette, Mo.
