Women's Volleyball Struggles Continue with Loss at Mount Mercy

The Culver-Stockton women's volleyball team dropped its eighth consecutive match in a 25-13, 25-13, 25-19 sweep by Mount Mercy University Tuesday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The Wildcats totaled just 14 kills and had 21 hitting errors in the match that took just 64 minutes to complete. It is the second time in three matches the Wildcats have recorded more hitting errors than kills in a match. C-SC also had trouble with service reception as the Mustangs registered 14 service aces in the match.

Freshman Emma Daleen led the offensive attack with seven kills. Zoe Irvin garnered four kills, while Lauren Bloom had seven set assists.

Things don't get easier for the Wildcats who will host nationally-ranked Central Methodist University this Friday night, Oct. 6, at Charles Field House. The Eagles are ranked 22nd in the latest NAIA Top 25 national poll. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
