Benedictine Dispatches Wildcat Netters in Three Sets

The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team is still seeking its first Heart of America Athletic Conference victory of the season after a 25-17, 25-18, 25-19 loss to Benedictine College at Charles Field House Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats, who are currently 4-20 overall and 0-13 in the conference, have five more chances to claim that elusive first conference victory. The quest begins Tuesday night, Oct. 17, when the Wildcats host Graceland University at Charles Field House. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.

Against the Ravens, C-SC was paced by middle hitter Ashleigh Brawley with seven kills to lead a very balanced attack. Freshmen Norah Boggs and Emma Daleen contributed six kills each, while Zoe Irvin totaled three terminations.

Benedictine registered 40 kills in the match to the Wildcats' 28 kills. The Ravens also had an edge in digs (52-43) and service aces (8-3). Benedictine recorded an attack percentage of .225 while C-SC garnered an .119 attack percentage.

Kyla Ellis led the back row with 16 digs in the match. Irvin tallied eight digs, while Boggs and Brawley had two block assists each.
