Five Women's Volleyball Players Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athletes. Graceland (Iowa) led the way with 20 honorees. Concordia (Neb.) finished a close second with 18 honorees. Culver-Stockton College placed five players on the 2023-24 list.

Named from the Wildcats were senior Sydney Powell, junior Allie Hull, junior Ashleigh Brawley, junior Kyla Ellis, and sophomore Lauren Bloom. Powell, Hull, Brawley and Ellis were recognized for the second straight season.

The 2023 list features 1,200 student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
