
Women's Volleyball Outlasts Peru State in Five Sets
The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team defeated Peru State College 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 22-25, 15-12 Friday night in Canton, Mo.
Zoe Irvin led the Wildcats with 11 kills while Addie Force registered 10 terminations. Lauren Bloom totaled 23 set assists and Sam Wright had 17 set assists. Overall the Wildcats had 12 service aces with Abby Godwin garnering four to lead C-SC.
Defensively, three players were in doubt figures in digs with Kyla Ellis leading the way with 21. Victoria Pollard had 14 digs and Godwin recorded 12 digs. Faith Hopgood garnered five block assists to led the front row.
The Wildcats, winners of five of their last six matches, improves to 12-6 overall and 4-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. C-SC is scheduled to play at Mount Mercy University this Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Cedar rapids, Iowa. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
