Women's Volleyball Loses to Park in Three Sets

The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team dropped its second straight match of the weekend and its third straight road match this week with a 25-20-25-14, 25-15 loss at Park University Saturday afternoon in Parkville, Mo.

Park doubled up the Wildcats in kills (56-28) despite five fewer attack attempts in the match. C-SC committed 13 errors and the Pirates had 12 hitting errors. Park also recorded 62 digs to the Wildcats' 38.

Abby Godwin and Zoe Irvin led the Wildcats with eight and seven kills, respectively. Lauren Bloom totaled 15 set assists.

C-SC was credited with five team blocks with Ashleigh Brawley garnering three block assists to lead the way. Bloom registered 11 digs to lead the defense, while Kyla Ellis was also in double figures with 10 digs.

After playing three road matches this week, the Wildcats are set to host three matches this coming week beginning Tuesday night against Clarke University at Charles Field House. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
