Younce Leads Women's Cross Country at Luther Invitational

The women's cross country team competed in the Luther College All-American Invitational Saturday morning in Decorah, Iowa.

For the second straight week, Faith Younce led all Wildcat runners with a time of 21:42.1 on the five-kilometer course. Younce finished 24th overall among the 59 runners in the event helping the Wildcats finish sixth as a team with 160 points. Luther won the event with 33 points, putting five runners in the top 10.

C-SC, which had only five runners competing, had Zoi Smith place 50th overall with a time of 25:10.4 while Caroline Lindsey placed 56th overall with a time of 28:00.1. Klaudia Blaszczyk placed 58th and Teya Hawkins finished 59th, respectfully.

The Wildcats return in two weeks, Sept. 23, to run at the Grand View Viking Invitational at Des Moines Area Community College crss country course in Ankeny, Iowa. The women's race is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
