
Women's Cross Country Places Sixth at Luther All-America Invitational
The Culver-Stockton College women's cross country team competed in the Luther All-American Invitational Saturday morning in Decorah, Iowa.
The Wildcats competed in the five-kilometer collegiate race and finished sixth in the team standings with a total time of 1:59.35, accumulating 177 points. Macalester (Minn.) won the seven-team event with a total time of 1:42.15.
Individually, C-SC was led by Delaney Straus' seventh place overall finish with a time of 19:46.77, Faith Younce was next in the order, finishing 41st overall with a time of 22:08.00, while Emma Berry placed 58th overall with a time of 24:03.03.
Zoi Smith came in at 69th overall with a time of 26:13.96 and she was followed by Caroline Lindsey, who concluded her five-kilometer run in a time of 27:23.77 and in 70th place. Morgan Keith, making her season debut, finished 72nd overall with a time of 28:22.55, and Klaudia Blaszczyk ended 74th overall with a time of 30:57.86.
The Wildcats, who have raced the last three weekends, will take two weeks off to recover before competing in the Seminole Valley Stampede at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Oct. 5. The women's race is slated for 10:15 a.m.
